Printing liberation flags

As indicated above, we print our flags in 6 colors, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Orange and Violet. Orange and Violet expand the color spectrum towards the orange side and towards the blue side. This allows brighter colors to be achieved than with standard CMYK flag printers. Before submitting, it is best to take the following into account:

- Is your file already in CMYK? Then you can leave it that way, the colors will be printed as brightly as possible. Always note that the colors on your screen may look different from the printed flags. Simply because a screen emits light and light falls on a printed flag.

- Is your file in RGB? You can leave it that way, but keep in mind that RGB are screen colors and this color spectrum is therefore much larger than what inks can achieve. Of course, your RGB color can also fall within the achievable spectrum, then you will not notice it.
If you have a very bright green color or blue color on your screen, this will automatically be reduced to the extremely feasible color spectrum. There is a good chance that your color will be brighter with us than with a standard CMYK flag printer.

- Does your file contain PMS colors? That's absolutely fine, you can leave this as is, our printer automatically recognizes PMS colors and has linked the highest possible CMYKOV values to them. This means you will achieve a better result than if you reset the colors to CMYK.

Save

All files may be saved as PDF/X-1a, so that all transparencies are flattened and the risk of digital errors is minimized. You may use the color profile ISO Coated v2 300%. This profile uses more black ink in the gray tones, so the chance of a color cast is smallest. This profile also has a maximum ink coverage of 300% to prevent stains due to saturation.

Always check your file in Adobe Acrobat for the desired result after saving.

Of course you can also upload files in JPG, where the color profile ISO Coated v2 300% is often automatically indicated when saving, but remember that there is little you can control. What you see is what you get.
