Warning flag No inflatables

These warning flags or beach flags point out current dangers and risks in and around the bathing water.
The flags are made from 120 gr/m². Longlife, this fabric has a more open structure so that the wind can blow through it better.
Due to the knitting, these flags can be finished without a hem so that it does not come off the flag when worn.

Information

Do not swim
The red flag means that swimming is prohibited. There are life-threatening conditions, such as very strong currents, thunder or pollution. Going into the water is absolutely irresponsible. This flag is only hoisted in case of serious danger. Always follow the instructions of the lifeguards.

Lifeguard on duty
The beach flag 'Lifeguard on duty' indicates that lifeguards are present at that time. The flag is red and yellow with a lifeguard icon, which is also clear to international visitors. This flag replaces the old green flag, which suggested too much safety. It is relatively safe to swim at this flag, but alertness remains important. Swimmers are informed that supervision is present and no immediate dangers have been reported.

No inflatables
This flag, recognizable by an image of an inflatable item with a line through it, prohibits the use of inflatable objects such as air mattresses and swimming tires. The wind or current can quickly push people out to sea on these flotation devices. This ban applies to the safety of bathers. Even when things seem calm, the risks can be great.

Warning yellow
The yellow flag indicates potentially dangerous swimming conditions, such as strong currents or high waves. Swimming is allowed, but only for experienced swimmers. Extra caution is necessary. This flag warns beachgoers to pay close attention and take risks seriously. Pay close attention to the lifeguard's instructions.

Warning purple
The purple flag warns of danger from nature, such as jellyfish, poisonous fish or polluted water. Swimming is still allowed, but can pose health risks. Look carefully at the situation on site. This flag is less common, but should be taken seriously. If in doubt, ask the lifeguard for an explanation.
